I’m pleased to announce–if you haven’t heard yet–that Killer Nashville is back again. 2012 might well be its most dazzling year, given all the things going on at the Hutton Hotel from August 24-26. This conference has been roaring in since 2006, the brainchild of well-known writer and filmmaker Clay Stafford. KN bills itself as “A conference for Thriller, Suspense, Mystery Writers & Literature Lovers.” Five tracks are available for participants: forensic, writing, publishing, career management and promotion, and fan track. KN’s popular feature, the dead body, is back again this year. Everyone gets a chance to inspect the body, identify the killer by using clues, and win a prize. And don’t forget that there will be two book rooms sponsored by Barnes and Noble and Mysteries and More with good books for sale.
On a personal note, I’ll be presenting a talk called “Hardboiled Detectives in Hammett, Chandler, and Parker” in Vista-B on Friday, August 24, from 1:00-2:00 PM. It promises to be fun. I’d love to see you there.
There are too many other KN goodies to put in this space, so settle down in front of your computer with a cuppa or a mugga and read through all the great offerings. Just go to www.KillerNashville.com.
